We, the Eucharistic Community of St. Jude Thaddeus, come together to glorify God and build His Kingdom in a loving family-oriented atmosphere by dedicating ourselves to nurture each other's faith and cultures through worship, education, service, fellowship, and community outreach.
The efforts to establish a Catholic Church in Burkburnett began in 1953 with the organization of CCD classes for Catholic
children.
These classes were held in homes and conducted by volunteers from Sacred Heart Parish in Wichita Falls. As attendance grew, the American Legion Hall and St. John the Divine Episcopal Church offered the use...
Religious education is the training in those gestures through which we learn the story, of God and God's will for our lives... It is ongoing training in the skills we need in order to live faithful to the kingdom that has been initiated in Jesus. Through prayer and reflection and talking with others we will be able to know God’s call and live out the Gospel in service of others.
